Intro
I wanted to test the performance and accuracy of the ai models at the time of writing this (May 2026, so I can leverage them in my day-to-day tasks). Currently, I am testing 3 models: 1. Deepseek (v4 just got released) 2. GLM 3. Qwen.
Identifying a common task
At the time of writing this, there are Tamil Nadu elections. I’ve made up my mind to ask the AI to visualize the TN elections and would rate them based on their accuracy and how beautifully they present the data.
Price-wise, Deepseek and the Chinese models are dominating the leaderboards for the price-to-perfomance ratio.

Though the design is okey, the accuracy is great.

The design is great, especially where each seat is represented as an arc and color-coded, but the data is completely wrong.

Conclusion / Winner
From the different conclusions, we have different results. Only the first model… both the design and the model accuracy are good. Note that we have selected the expert mode.
In GLM… the design is great without even the correct prompt… but the accuracy is bad.
With this short test, I was able to figure out which AI I can rely on the most.

Personal update
Updated as of May 24th. Got to stay home more even though I had a prod release from the office (working at VZ at this point in time), but food poisoning and dehydration happened to my dad… had to take him to hospital emergency care, but he recovered quickly. The marriage that is planned in May is in limbo; the partner wants some things to be finished from her side, and I’m feeling kinda the same on some matters. My SO is trying to find a good company to work for, in between managing family and me, hard for her as well. Take small steps forward; though it doesn’t make any sense at the current moment, in the long run, it will make sense.
Since COVID, I took medical insurance for my parents, both of them… I didn’t think it would be of much use when my dad got admitted to the hospital… but the hospital successfully processed it. In the end, I got the money I paid for the entire hospital visit, though others said they were useless (others meaning some of my brothers and others)… I think it’s useful and provides some mental relief when something does happen in case of emergencies. I have insurance with the office that covers me but also my parents, but I’ve kept this separately. Thinking of taking separate health insurance and life insurance; don’t know what I’ve decided yet. I’ll let you know in the future what I decide.
Unrelated to this, GeForce Now got announced in India, and I got an invite for the trial. I stopped my gaming and those related activities recently, so I shared it with a friend of mine. He paired it with Xbox Game Pass and is having a good time with different games.
Got to meet some old friends that I didn’t meet in a long while; I felt human/grounded seeing the changes they have been through. I said this to one even: people are shaped by whom they interact with and whom they surround themselves with; they are sculpted subconsciously without them even realizing it… seeing how differently they’ve changed.
The price of petrol has risen up so much… right after the elections… the politicians played their hand smartly… in April 2026… the price was around 99.82 rupees, and now it has been 106.xx rupees. Because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East—specifically tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz disrupting global oil supply chains, the prices are expected to go even higher? I was planning to buy a good electric scooty, but then my friend’s dad said things to convince me not to take it (it was just before the war)… now I’m feeling maybe I shouldn’t have brought it up with him, and as a result, wouldn’t have been influenced by him. I have to search for one electric scooty that’s good for the short term and also for the long term, considering the serviceability and all.
On top of that, I have to change the apartment in Chennai. I remember writing in January 2 years ago when I moved into this apartment. I’m thinking of moving back to my hometown and staying over at a friend’s place shortly… until I’m done with a few things? Idk… or move to a new apartment in Chennai so I can still stay there and commute to the office… Idk, I’m conflicted. Maybe I should stay in a hotel for the days I’m going to the office. Argh! These are just simple decisions but take away valuable time and energy.
And lastly, it’s been one year, huh! If you know what I mean, I have to update this section later… about what this is… at a later point in time.
I’ve started a long stagnated item; I made progress one way or another. Future me, how did it go through? Were you able to handle it?
